She opened her laptop and began pulling records from the documents I’d given her.

Five minutes later, she stopped typing.

Then she slowly turned the screen toward me.

A list of transactions appeared.

Large transfers.

Thousands of dollars.

Moving between the shop account… and an account registered under the scholarship foundation.

But the timing was strange.

The transfers would appear for a few days—then vanish again into another account.

Colleen sighed.

“Oh, Glenn,” she muttered.

“What?” I asked.

She looked at me seriously.

“Your husband didn’t just steal from the business.”

My chest tightened.

“He’s been laundering money through the charity.”
